Yes or No Tarot/Decision Wheel

Q: Is this really random?

Yes! We use the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues) for true randomness, not the predictable Math.random(). Each result is independently random with an exact 50/50 probability split between Yes and No (with a small chance of Maybe). No previous results influence future ones.

Q: Should I make important decisions with this?

This tool is designed for fun and light decision-making — choosing restaurants, settling friendly debates, or breaking minor analysis paralysis. For important life decisions, we recommend careful analysis, professional advice, and trusted counsel. That said, the "coin flip revelation" technique (noticing your emotional reaction to the result) is a legitimate psychological tool.

Q: What's the probability of getting "Maybe"?

The probability is approximately 5% Maybe, 47.5% Yes, and 47.5% No. The Maybe response is intentionally rare and serves as a fun surprise element. If you get Maybe, simply ask again for a definitive Yes or No answer.

Make instant decisions with a beautifully animated 50/50 randomized oracle.

The Psychology of Decision Making

Research shows that when we're truly torn between two options, a random decision maker can actually reveal our true preference. The moment the coin lands (or the wheel stops), we feel either relief or disappointment — and that emotional response tells us what we really wanted all along.

Our Yes/No Decision Maker uses cryptographically secure randomness for a perfect 50/50 split, with a small chance of "Maybe" to keep things interesting. It's designed for fun and light decision-making, not life-altering choices!

When to Use a Decision Maker

Low-stakes choices: Pizza or sushi? Movie or book? Red or blue?
Breaking analysis paralysis: When overthinking prevents any action
Fun party games: Let the oracle decide dares, challenges, or activities
Self-discovery: Notice your emotional reaction to the answer — it reveals your true preference
